The Position
2024 Summer Intern – Clinical Support Solutions / Clinical Trials Support Lab
Department Summary
The Clinical Trials Support Lab provides laboratory support across our Clinical Operations chapter area from clinical sample management activities and exploratory investigations to full participation in clinical studies as a testing site.
This internship position is located onsite in Pleasanton.
Key Responsibilities
Organize, conduct laboratory work / experiments utilizing established procedures
Assumes responsibility for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of work product / experimental results
Summarizes and communicates experimental results, and reviews conclusions with supervisor/project leader
Identifies and communicates potential issues and supports critical problem solving
Performs work according to established internal safety guidelines and procedures, and as specified by appropriate external regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA).
Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer).
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Real-life laboratory experience working across sample management, testing and reporting.
Who You Are
Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
- Minimum 1 year in college
Basic Skills Required:
Familiarity with nucleic acid purification and nucleic acid amplification techniques.
A minimum of 3 months full-time or 1 year part-time laboratory experience, with more experience preferred.
Experience working with clinical samples is preferred, but not required.
Attention to detail is required.
Preferred majors: Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Medical Technologist, Molecular Biology
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in learning and utilizing computer software and basic office programs.
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position in California is $24.00- $33.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
