The Position
PLRED is a cross functional, interdisciplinary team whose projects focus on technology maturation into early development. Our customers range from early research to development within the product development pipeline. The two internships will support projects in the Oncology Assay Design and Novel Assay Technology teams: Oncology Assay Design - characterizes new assay technologies for future products Novel Assay Technology - Identifies, qualifies, and characterizes new technologies for future products.
This internship position is located in Tucson, On- site.
Key Responsibilities:
Support a PLRED research project through conducting of supervised research
Report findings to team members and select stakeholders
Maintain documentation of research project work
Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Required Education:
- Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree
- Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
Required Majors:
Any biological, chemistry, physics or biomedical engineering discipline
Required Skills:
Familiarity with general laboratory safety, word processing software, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
