Established in London in 1814 Purdey are today world renowned for the finest craftsman made side by side and over and under shotguns and double barrel and bolt action rifles, each one fully bespoke to their client's specifications and needs. Purdey's exclusive range of men and women's shooting and country clothing and accessories reflects the same attention to detail.
As an Account Executive within our Wholesale department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the wholesale team to drive sales and ensure the successful distribution of our luxury products to wholesale partners and clients. This is a highly client-facing position where you will assist the Head of Clothing & Accessories in managing day-to-day operations, nurturing key relationships, and providing exceptional customer service. Your work will span sales, data management and analysis, and inventory management with our esteemed partners.
Please note, this is a fixed term position, across 3 days a week - starting as soon as possible until end of October 2026.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
Sales & Relationship Management
- Drive sales and profitability by nurturing client relationships, monitoring market performance, and organising promotional events.
- Build strong connections with buying and merchandising teams.
Operational Excellence
- Manage all order processing, delivery schedules, and logistics coordination.
- Oversee day-to-day wholesale operations, including client service, incentive schemes, VM standards, and new account/contract management.
Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor budgets, provide progress reports, and track sell-in/sell-out performance.
- Gather competitor information and identify buying trends to support business development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with internal finance and marketing teams to ensure correct invoicing, manage debtors, and provide key accounts with necessary brand assets.
- Collaborate with buying teams to manage stock.
Team Support
- Manage, develop, and onboard new team members (training)
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- Previous experience in wholesale operations, luxury retail, or customer service is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for luxury products and a keen eye for detail to maintain the brand's prestigious image.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with retail partners and internal team members.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, and familiarity with CRM systems is desirable.
