Northeast Manager, Visual Merchandising
Montblanc | Remote
As Manager, Visual Merchandising, you will be a key member of the Visual Merchandising Team for the Americas region, responsible for the planning and execution of VM within the Northeast region for both Retail and Wholesale in line with Montblanc HQ guidelines while elevating the overall Brand Experience. Reporting to the Director, Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience, you will build strong relationships with the Boutique teams to ensure the delivery of best-in-class VM across your network. You will be based in Toronto, Canada with frequent travel across the Northeast region, US and Canada.
Responsibilities :
· Execute product display presentations while adhering to the global visual guidelines and styling directive for all Retail and Wholesale accounts to ensure consistency across Northeast region.
· Extensive weekly travel with focus on Top Flagship Boutiques and hands-on approach to maximize and drive sales through VM/Merchandising and Regional Sales Director partnership to align product priorities and rotation strategies.
· Create visually strong and solution-led displays, aligned with the global VM/Brand Experience strategy and with a consistent high standard of VM.
· Manage POSM inventory, ordering, distribution and implementation of core display materials to reflect current set-up, future instore visual rotations and yearly campaign decoration elements.
· Plan and coordinate the installation of quarterly window campaigns + seasonal instore launch decorations
· Assist Retail Design team on visual planning for new Boutique/SIS openings within your region, prepare VM display materials according to the furniture capacities and visual adaptations to include new Shop-In-Shops,
Pop-Ups and special events/tradeshows as required to support the business.
· Communicate, educate and train Boutique VM Ambassadors/Wholesale account partners with regard to VM category guidelines, decoration directives, seasonal leather books and share best practices.
· Collaborate with Regional Wholesale Directors to identify new business opportunities within existing accounts to include acquiring additional real estate, space planning, product capacity, assortment planning and monitoring inventory levels to best enhance the brand experience and drive sales.
· Plan quarterly VM Calendar at beginning of each quarter and submit on a monthly basis as visits are finalized for Boutiques and Wholesale accounts.
· Travel to include all internal & external Boutiques + Wholesale accounts within the entire Northeast region covering the following: NY, NJ, IL, MA, Montreal & Toronto.
· Create VM photo recap reports after store visits & window campaign launches in order to illustrate overview of the Northeast network business driven by VM initiatives and accomplishments.
Qualifications:
· Previous luxury retail experience within leather and accessories industry
· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, spatial design, interior design, retail management, or a related field
· Minimum of 3-5 years visual merchandising field experience required
· Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite & Digital Photography
· Experienced using Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign,
or other visual design tools
· Working knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices
· Strong communication and interpersonal/networking skills with ability to motivate and inspire
· Attention to detail with exceptional organizational & planning skills
· Flexible, agile, hands-on / team player and able to work autonomously
· Proactive, solutions driven and able to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business
· Proven track record coordinating, executing projects and training
· Manage personal travel/calendar and other expenses to an allocated budget
· Extensive travel requirements – traveling 75% of the week
· Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends (if required)
· Fluent in English and French
