Shoed Development Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Manager who will be responsible for Chloé Shoes product development in Scandicci (FI). The Shoes Development Manager will lead a team of technical profiles and will focus on ensuring that style requirements are implemented within the defined timeframe.

Collaborating with Technical Team, Marketing Team and Style Team, the new joiner will be in charge of the follow-up projects from Sketches to the Production samples validation guaranteeing time-to-Market, quality and price.

 

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

 

You will be in charge of:

 

·  Receiving calendar with planning for season and manage planning activities
·  Receiving first designs and assign models to various manufacturers based on style (e.g. elegant, sneakers etc.)
·  Managing purchasing activities for raw materials, metal hardware and semi-finished components
·  Managing delivery schedule for finished prototype;
·  Ensuring prototypes are delivered to HQ Style Team within designated time frame
·  Developing costing sheet (cost of raw materials – sampling – prototyping etc.)
·  Analyzing industrial cost to ensure markup range and present them to Paris HQ
·  Ensuring Repetition of prototyping activities for shoe pairs 
·  Ensuring raw materials are pre-booked 8 weeks before show room

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

 

·  High level of experience within the Shoes Industry (with focus on Product Development)
·  Fluent English (French will be considered a plus)
·  Planning and Costing expertise applied to the collection development cycle
·  Good knowledge of the various steps leading from sketch to sample
·  Attitude to coordinate people and steer them towards results with a project management approach
·  Ability to use ERP systems (SAP knowledge will be considered as a plus)
