The Managing Director is a business leader responsible for the definition and implementation of the brand strategy for Cartier in Brazil. The Managing Director will have full P&L responsibility for the region's financial results and operations. They will be expected to provide inspirational leadership, to establish Cartier as a reference and one of the most desirable luxury brands, to deliver growth in line with Maison expectations and to effectively control the costs and budget. The Managing Director is expected to manage all aspects of the business, including brand image and development, category management, retail excellence and performance management, Client activities, Direct to Consumer Strategy for the region.
They will manage a total of 32 people, will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil office, and will report to the Cartier Latin America President & CEO based in Miami.
As a member of the local and regional executive committees (“ExCo”), they will work closely with the Commercial Teams (Retail, Specialists, E-commerce), with the Marketing & Communication Teams , with the Supply Chain Teams and with the Client Teams in order to ensure execution of the strategy and of the key company projects.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Strategy Definition, Communication and Implementation:
- Coordinates the development of the yearly budget plan
- Ensure internal communication and alignment of the strategy within the subsidiary
- Tracks, monitors and follows up the execution of the strategy across departments
- Daily Operations Management:
- Is in charge of Cartier operations in the Brazil subsidiary (Committees, meetings…)
- Coordinates the local Executive Committee (agenda, timing, minutes, follow up)
- Performance Review and Objectives:
- Sets up and oversees monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasts and KPIs for the subsidiary and by department
- Ensures the key objectives and accountability are clear across all departments
- Is responsible for the local P&L aiming at long-term profitable growth of the Maison
- Strategic Projects Management:
- Follows up the on the performance of Brazil’s key projects (“Company projects”)
- Leads the implementation of key projects in Brazil together with local teams, HR, and with central teams.
- Leads the e-Business for the Maison with the support of the Client Relations department
- As a member of the Regional Management Team along with Mexico Managing Director and Latin America CEO, work on ad-hoc Latin America Regional projects as contributor or project leader
- Coordination with Richemont Support Functions:
- Plays a coordination and communication role between Richemont Support Functions (Finance, HR, Legal, CS, Logistics) and the different Cartier Brazil departments
- Participates in the BMM meeting (Richemont Brazil Management Committee) and in the Richemont-Cartier committee
- Team Management and Collaboration:
- Directly Manages the Brazil Commercial Director
- Collaborates closely with the Regional Marketing & Communication, Client, Supply Chain, Fragrance, Strategic Projects, HR and Finance Directors and teams. Ensures that local Supply Chain, Marcom and Client team members are well accompanied in their mission and local contribution to Brazil success
