Job Description
Heading the Insurances and Service plans & Maintenance activities. (Certified position- Significant Management Function - SYSC 27.8.4R )
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the job holder is responsible of the team fulfilling MFS’ Insurance and Services commercial & financial objectives (Volume & NAM). In addition, the job holder will be responsible for developing Insurance and Services product portfolio for both new and existing customers, and leading presentations and discussions internally and externally.
Additionally, the Head of Department will also be responsible for the team budget, be in line with the company strategy and ensure that dealers and distributors can use our products appropriately.
The role will also be responsible for monitoring customer outcomes and embedding Consumer Duty within their department.
What will you do:
For Insurance products:
· Be commercially focused on insurance activities and proactively seek opportunities and ways to grow the business for both new and existing product.
· Grow the team insurance portfolio, work closely with the corporate and UK stakeholder (Legal, Compliance, Dealer operations, Sales and Finance) to launch new products
· Liaise with the Compliance Department to ensure FCA regulations are adhered to.
· Ensure the principles of Treating Customers Fairly will be applied across all activity to safeguard respect of RCI’s regulatory obligations to the FCA and to ensure that good customer outcomes are always created.
For Service Plan and Maintenance products:
· Work closely with the OEM and proactively seek opportunities and ways to grow the business for both new and existing products.
· Ensuring the team support the launch of the new car campaigns, used car strategy, and new vehicle launches by creating and testing all service plans and Maintenance within the back and front office system (OMEGA / MFS Direct)
· Manage the claims in order to ensure that the level of RSAP is in line with the Corporate requirement. (non utilisation rate)
For all products:
· Carry of FLOCs, manage RCSA's, and ensure incidents/actions are completed within the SLA.
· Ensuring the team adhere to all relevant business SLAs, procedures and FLOC.
· Chair the Insurance and Services Forum Meeting which includes the product governance to ensure long term fair value for all consumers, ensure of the TCF KPIs,…
· Manage current partnerships with insurers and service providers with the team members
· Manage the team budget (forecast, commission incomes received, VME received, Pay the suppliers fees…)
· Support Finance team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all month end and daily reporting, and look to continuously improve the information that is being provided
· Planning resources, managing relationship (with Dealer Operations, Customer Services, Sales, Finance and IS), and improving processes to ensure delivery of service to the rest of the business.
As part of the Marketing Management Team, takes an active part in the Management’s work, shares practices and proactively contributes to the development of MFS’s marketing strategy
What will you have:
· Extensive motor industry knowledge
· Insurance professional with experience in a similar environment
· High degree of specialist knowledge in Marketing and/or Finance
· Good technical understanding of car business Service & Insurance products
· Strong strategic relationship management
· Strong team player but able to work independently
· Excellent communication skills, with ability to present, influence and negotiate at Board level.
· Strong attention to detail
· Able to manage commitments to several business stakeholders, both internal and external
· Highly motivated, proactive and focused on achieving company goals
· Enthusiastic, tenacious personality; able to prioritise work in order to meet tight deadlines
· Excellent PC skills with a detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel & PowerPoint
· Flexible team player able to communicate at all levels both in writing and verbally
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proven track record in a commercial environment is a plus
