Payroll Specialist – 12 months fixed term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our expanding team. This position will allow you to support the operational delivery of our payrolls for our colleagues. You’ll need to confidently work to tight deadlines and be an outstanding team player.

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skill sets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
·  You will support the payroll team in delivering payrolls, monitoring work against deadlines, and alerting the payroll manager to any risks.
·  Ensure that company and team procedures and policies are followed to deliver accurate payrolls.
·  You will develop detailed knowledge of the payrolls on the team and the rest of the payroll landscape.
·  You will establish and maintain positive working relationships across the team, working cross-functionally to support other teams where required
·  You will help to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies in our processes and ways of working. What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
·  Minimum 3 years experience
·  You will be highly detail-oriented and able to deliver quality outputs within deadlines.
·  You will have strong knowledge of local tax regulations including knowledge of statutory and pension returns and year-end processes.
·  Microsoft Excel knowledge to Intermediate level.
