Production Operator (Temporary, initially for 6 months. This could be extended dependent upon business needs)
Burton upon Trent Site
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off, 2 x 12 hour Days followed by 2 x 12 hour Nights
Pirelli Tyres Ltd are seeking Production Operators to work at its site at Burton. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a physically demanding Production environment, be familiar with processes attached to the adherence of Safety and Quality standards and have a can-do and enthusiastic attitude to work.
Main duties include:
· Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the process is in keeping with Company Quality standards
· Adhering to all Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and keeping abreast of changes
· Operate equipment as directed, working at a pace required of the equipment e.g. Cycle times and Percentage Output
· Ensuring all quality standards are maintained and recorded.
· Carry out housekeeping duties in line with 5S standards, in particular during breakdowns
· Flexibility within the department to carry out any duties that may be required whilst on shift
Essential
· Good basic education
· Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.
· Experience of working to a high standard of quality.
· Stay focused and maintain high output continually through the shift
· Be able to work autonomously and complete work with minimum supervision.
· Be able and prepared to work on all tasks within the department. This includes using lifting equipment, being on your feet for 12 hours and being physically able to bend, twist and pull, together with not being phased with getting dirty.
· Have good interpersonal skills, be a team player, with a flexible proactive approach.
· Be willing to embrace change.
· Be proactive and work on own initiative
Desirable
· FLT experience
· Working Shift Patterns, including week ends and nights
