Job Scope

With the support and direction of the Maintenance Leadership Team, Maintenance Electricians will ensure all equipment is operating to the required standards to ensure safe operation and to maintain production.

Role Responsibilities

· The repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and components as required
· Diagnosis/Fault Finding of malfunctioning electrical systems, equipment and components
· Regular testing of electrical systems, equipment and components
· Assist other electrical and mechanical team members to complete required maintenance work
· To ensure all electrical units in the factory function properly
· Comply with all safety norms and regulations of working
· Complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor
· Following all standard operating procedures of working
· Attending relevant training and development activities

Skills and Experience

Education

· HNC in Electrical Engineering and NVQ level 3 in appropriate discipline or equivalent

Essential Criteria

· Knowledge of Siemens PLC controls is essential, or the willingness to obtain the necessary skills
· Good knowledge of single and three-phased systems
· Ability to diagnose AC/DC Motors faults
· Previous experience of working on High Voltage equipment is desirable, however, the willingness to complete a High Voltage course is essential
· A sound problem solving ability
· Good communication
· Sound technical knowledge of the processes and machinery
· Self motivated, focused and able to work on own initiative
· High level of resilience and able to work effectively under pressure
