Product Development Technologist - Cycling
Within the R&D Cycling team, we are looking for a product development technologist that deals with the following activities
•Analyze the requirements of the assigned customer Project and develop the related product specifications;
•Define the tests planning to evaluate new materials / compounds or product variations;
•Evaluate the test results on the product performances and define and implement the needed variations;
•Plan, coordinate and assure development and industrialization activities;
•Analyze the complexity of the products in the factories to improve the efficiency.
Requirements
•At Least 2-3 years in the same role;
•Master’s degree in Engineering;
•Good knowledge of the tyre development process;
•English fluent;
•Effectiveness, Teamwork;
•Customer orientation;
•Knowledge of cycling field is considered a plus.

A 12-month placement is available within the Logistics Department working within a small, dynamic, professional and enterprising team.
Main duties include:
· Provide administrative support on the entire UK Logistics operations, accurately raising purchase orders to enable payment of warehousing, distribution and transportation invoices through SAP
· Providing support in monitoring costs and Logistics projects, aimed at proposing cost efficiency
· Preparation and maintenance of the Logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPI) dashboard and statistics (On Time Delivery, On Time Loading/Unloading, Export saturation, No. of Discrepancies, …)
· Liaise with our Marketing & Commercial Dept. to monitor customers’ distribution service level over the entire UK territory, and managing the premium channel availability statistics
· Liaise with our Quality dept. to monitor non-conformances from all delivery destinations and warehouses
· Liaise with our Italian HQ, together with international transport suppliers, to assist the invoicing process, CMRs and Logistics KPIs
· Provide direction, guidance and full support to 3rd parties to ensure clarity of requirements in order to achieve the deliverables
· Provide support to ensure stocks are aligned between Pirelli system and the 3PL.
· Assisting in the audit of the Finished Goods Warehouses twice yearly in Burton and Carlisle
· Liaise with our Finance dept. in order to monitor & ensure accuracy of accounting of purchase orders and to assist with month end accruals.
· Assist with projects & problem solving within the operational team and provide ad-hoc assistance when required
Our requirements:
· Studying for a business related degree
· Good organisational, analytical, team working and entrepreneurial skills.
· Ability to work independently using initiative in a fast-paced pressurised and target driven, environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power Point essential
· A full clean driving licence is desirable

Job Scope and objectives
An integral part of the UK Finance team, this stand-alone role will be specifically accountable for UK compliance matters and activities. In addition, will be responsible for monitoring compliance programs already in place and implementation of new programs where required, with a key focus on Brexit impacts and consequences in the middle long term.
Role responsibilities
FUNCTIONAL
· Compliance management – ensuring group policies and procedures are correctly drafted and implemented in the UK, based on current, local or Group requirements
· Ensuring compliance reports are collated, analysed and submitted in a timely fashion
· Work with colleagues based in Milan to understand compliance requirements and the impact and interpretation into UK law, along with the analysis of possible compliance risks and mitigation measures
· Governance and Internal audit – auditing internal functions of the UK business to ensure compliance with data retention, data protection, anti-corruption policies and procedures and identification of follow up recommendations to improve internal control systems
· Co-ordination and delivery of any compliance related training and awareness sessions
· Specific compliance initiatives include, but not are not limited to:
· Privacy Compliance;
· Model of segregation of duties;
· Program of Anti-Corruption in line with UK Bribery Act and Group Policy
· UK local Legislation (including but not limited to Gender Pay Gap, Modern Slavery, Payment Practice, Tax Evasion, etc.)
· Compliance on reporting over the financial statement (financial and non-financial information);
· Policies and Procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND APTITUDES
Education
· Qualified solicitor (desirable)
· Degree in Law/Economics
Experience
· Good level of Compliance management experience
· Good knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
· Company commercial law and contracts experience
· Commercial awareness
· Customer facing experience
Skills
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills
· Pragmatic approach with enthusiasm and initiative to manage a varied caseload

Experience of working within a UK compliance role is essential, so someone knowledgeable and confident with compliance issues. The role reports into the UK CFO but has direct links into the compliance team in Milan, so we need someone proactive in their approach, good at establishing and developing relationships. Someone who is keen and eager to understand the business, which in turn will assist them in their role in understanding the impact of compliance.
A flexible approach to work is key due to the nature of the role and the reporting lines. As is the need for someone to be able to understand compliance activities, interpret into the UK business and then deliver as required. We need someone who is proactive, can promote themselves and the role / work of compliance.
The role is part-time, working 25 hours over 5 days.
Salary wise we are looking at £31333 - £33333 (actual) depending upon skills, background and experience.
