Full Stack Software Developer 

 

Main Responsibilities:

•Contribute to the coordination, development and timely delivery of digital and IoT solutions to support the growing transformation of Pirelli automotive ecosystem
•You will work cross-functionally on the full “stack” of technology in order to assure a coherent and cohesive development of all the modules and architectural elements from backend to frontend, by identifying the client and server-side responsibilities of a solution, articulating the pros and cons of various solutions and implementing the best architectural solutions
•Perform code reviews and ensure that our consultants are able to work on assigned tasks, by following the best engineering practices and coding standards
•Participate in recurrent meetings with business functions and in technical stand-up meetings with both software development and validation teams

Basic Qualifications:

•Preferred qualification in BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience);
•Excellent communication skills and propensity to teamwork, in order to establish an effective collaboration with the internal team members, but also with business stakeholders and external ones, such as suppliers who develop part of the solutions to be integrated;
•Strong objective-based orientation and problem solving attitude;
•Flexibility and autonomy, proactivity, continuous curiosity in the technology evolution and the rise of new business models enabled by the Digital Disruption;
•Proficiency in English;

Technical Skills:

You have worked on large scale projects using most of the following technologies:
•Docker/Microservice pattern
•Backend development:
oJava
oSpring Boot (Web, Data JPA, Security, …), Hibernate

•Frontend/Web development:
oHTML5, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript, Bootstrap
oAngular, Angular Material, PrimeNG
•Cloud Computing: AWS (API Gateway, CloudFront, EC2, RDS, S3, …)
•Software architecture design: UML
•Build Automation: Maven, Gradle
•Web servers: Apache Webserver, Nginx, Node.js
•Version Control System: Git
•CI/CD tools: Gitlab CI/CD, Kubernetes
•Issue tracking:
oJIRA
oConfluence
•Basic knowledge of IoT architectures and protocols (MQTT, ...)
•Basic knowledge of Linux / Unix shell commands

APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

We are looking to recruit a bright, enthusiastic person to join the maintenance team as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice based at our Carlisle site. The successful candidate will spend their first year on a full time basic technical course. The remainder of the 4 year modern apprenticeship will combine a structured in-house training programme incorporating day release studies. This will lead to a Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance. The apprenticeship will commence in September 2023 and the successful candidate will be expected to attain or already possess 5 GCSE grades 4 - 9 including Mathematics and a Science at grades 6 - 9. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate evidence of practical skills and ability. The applicant must not be in receipt of government funding for current learning. (This includes any other Department for Education funded further/higher education programme including programmes funded by a student loan).

 

Apprenticeship Standard Title: Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (STO154)

Duration of Apprenticeship: 48 Months (course approx. 42 months)

Starting Salary (first year): £14,478 per annum (£6.92 per hour)

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
