Your mission

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Counsel with 3-4 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in the pharmaceutical, retail, and cosmetics industries, either in-house or at a reputable law firm. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support across various business functions, ensuring compliance, and mitigating legal risks.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory:

·  Provide expert legal advice and support to various departments within the company, including marketing, sales, and product development.
·  Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

·  Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including FDA, EMA, and other relevant bodies.
·  Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Regulatory Affairs:

·  Advise on regulatory issues affecting the pharmaceutical, retail, and cosmetics sectors.
·  Liaise with regulatory authorities and manage submissions and approvals.

Intellectual Property:

·  Assist in the management and protection of the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
·  Handle trademark and patent issues in collaboration with external counsel.

Dispute Resolution:

·  Manage and resolve disputes and litigation matters in collaboration with external legal partners.
·  Support in handling internal investigations and compliance audits.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

·  Qualified Attorney with 2-4 years PQE.
·  Strong academic background in law.

Experience:

·  Proven experience in the pharmaceutical, retail, and cosmetics industries.
·  Experience in both in-house and law firm settings is preferred.

Skills:

·  Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·  Ability to work independently, under pressure and as part of a team.
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:

·  This is a remote role that will require some travel to our US Headquarters in Secaucus NJ.
·  This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This is a largely sedentary role; however, it requires the ability to lift marketing materials, open product cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. 
·  The normal working hours of the office are from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Travel: ~15%

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $140,000 – $170,000

This range represents the base annual full-time salary for all positions within the applicable job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on a range of factors including experience, education, location, and other relevant qualifications. This position is also eligible for a Pierre Fabre bonus, commission, or incentive program in addition to the base pay.
