Your Role:

As an R&D Technician, you will independently execute all aspects of operation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure proper operation and maximum up-time of the commercial PECVD system and its associated equipment. This includes operating the deposition system via the software screens, manually loading/unloading and handling 300mm Si wafers in a clean room environment, and, when needed; full wet clean of the process chambers (PECVD and UV Cure). Additional responsibilities include:

·  Operate commercial chemical delivery systems for toxic and reactive chemicals (liquid and gas) common to the semiconductor industry, such as EMD Electronics ChemGuard & GasGuard delivery systems
·  Routinely operate small-scale metrology equipment on 300mm silicon wafers (for example, FTIR spectrometers, reflectometers, ellipsometers, etc.)
·  Communicate day-to-day processing and metrology results verbally and through daily run sheets and pass downs
·  Maintain maintenance records and part inventories

 

Physical Attributes:

·  Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
·  Work in awkward positions as necessary
·  Walk, stand, or sit for up to 8 hours
·  Work in a clean room environment wearing cleanroom garments

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications

·  High school diploma or GED
·  2+ years of experience maintaining a 200mm or 300mm commercial deposition or etch platform, with a working knowledge of how to process wafers through the system

 

Preferred Qualifications

·  Education or experience related to electromechanical such as AA Technical Degree or military equivalent
·  Experience handling toxic and reactive chemicals and gases common to the semiconductor industry
·  Experience with LO/TO
·  Proficient troubleshooting skills and a strong mechanical aptitude
·  Working knowledge of vacuum systems used in semiconductor processing
·  Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize issues and tasks according to R&D needs
·  Excel within a changing R&D environment while working with others in a positive and cooperative manner to meet common goals and objectives
·  Respirator Certification
·  Ability to manage conflict and manage critical situations
·  Experience with Swagelok, VCR, and common vacuum fittings (KF, ISO, etc.)
·  Self-starter: Independently learns and can be trained by others on the job, manages time by priorities
·  Proficient with Microsoft software, such as Excel and Word
·  Experience operating metrology equipment on 300mm silicon wafers (FTIR spectrometers, reflectometers, ellipsometers, etc.)
