Your Role:
The Quality Engineer (QE) will be part of the Quality Assurance group at the EMD Electronics Branchburg, NJ site. The Quality Engineer position will receive direction and report to the Site Quality Assurance Manager. You will beaccountable for leading and driving continual improvement projects for site Quality Management Systems (QMS). You will also interface closely with Operations, Quality Engineering, Quality Control, Supply Chain, Site Managementand the Customer to identify and drive proactive improvements to our products and services that will strengthen ourquality position with customers by preventing quality issues.
· Support the site Quality Management System program by monitoring and assessing effectiveness andsuitability of product/process performance
· Develop efficient systems for data utilization from various databases, maximizing efficiency and utilizingstatistical analysis and operational data to identify areas of improvement
· Maintain accurate and efficient data tracking for KPIs and customer requests, prepare data, charts, andreports
· Support incident investigations, change management and site-wide training programs interfacing with othergroups to drive improvement
· Implement and improve plant and corporate quality standards and processes, provide document support toensure site protocol and processes are followed
· Lead and participate in quality initiatives, timely communicating with interested parties
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical discipline
· 3+ years of quality, manufacturing, or technical experience in a fast-paced time sensitive environment
· 2+ years of experience participating in management of ISO 9001:2015 implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience with data analysis and data preparation
· 2+ years of experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, management of change, and document control systems
· 2+ years of experience with data driven continual process improvement of Quality Management systems
· Chemical manufacturing or semiconductor experience
· Strong communication skills, including customer interfacing experience
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
· Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple activities and projects
· Experience with technical writing
· American Society for Quality (ASQ) or other relevant certification
· Internal auditor certification in ISO 9001 or similar
· Six Sigma certification
· Project management experience
· SAP experience
