Your Role:

We are offering an exciting opportunity as Post Doc or Research Scientist (all genders) for our Display Research Emerging Displays group within our Electronics business. You will have the exiting opportunity to be an important part of a team for new optical components. You are a highly skilled experimentalist with experience in optics, characterization of thin films, such as liquid crystalline and crystalline films. Your task will be to identify organic materials and transform them into crystalline films and solid substrates. You will evaluate and implement new methodologies to generate and characterize these films focusing on their optical properties. You are creative and excited to come up with unconventional solutions to difficult scientific and practical problems.

 

  This position is limited until 31.12.2023.

 

  Who you are:

· 
Ph.D. or comparable expertise in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Material Sciences or Engineering

· 
Extensive experience in the field of crystallography, preferably including organic materials and films as well as liquid crystals

· 
Practical experience and willingness to work in the lab, including planning, setting up and automatization of novel experimental equipment and data handling

· 
Ability to explore new materials and technologies with a hands-on mentality

· 
Excellent analytical, organization and communication skills

· 
Excellent team player with the ability to work with internal and external partners from various disciplines in an interdisciplinary environment

· 
Very good and effective communicator in German and English language (oral and written)
