Your role:

This exciting opening within our Development Unit Oncology serves as a global indication lead and as the medical responsible person on clinical trials overseeing execution of clinical trial activities in a specific indication or combination approach within the therapeutic area (immuno-) oncology. You manage a cross-functional development team to define clinical trial activities that best support the overall programme strategy. In addition to this, you oversee the planning and management of clinical trials, including study design, trial management and interpretation of results. As key task, your ability to engage and work with Key Opinion Leaders or Scientific Advisors in the relevant therapeutic areas constantly helps develop scientific rationales for clinical trials. You develop and/or oversee the preparation of clinical development plans, study concept sheets, and study protocols in collaboration with clinical and project team members for assigned indication(s)/products. In managing the clinical team supporting the clinical trial you also mentor and develop assigned staff, as appropriate. The role oversees all aspects related to the scientific and medical risk in collaboration with the safety representatives and other relevant stakeholders. You support the review, analysis and interpretation of study data and communication of study results as assigned.

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Medical Doctor (MD) with clinical experience in medical oncology
·  Preferably board certified or substantial experience in clinical development oncology roles
·  Strong scientific background supported by relevant publication record
·  Interest and skills in the development of strategic clinical plans
·  Fluency in English – excellent written and oral skills
·  A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably considerably more
·  Experience working with and managing people in a matrix environment in a constantly changing and challenging fast-paced environment
·  Strong oral and written communication skills including presentations (posters, paper, seminars) to external parties
·  Ability to collaborate in a seamless fashion with project, programme and functional teams
·  Able to maintain familiarity with progress in the field

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Preferably board certified or substantial experience in clinical development oncology roles
·  Interest and skills in the development of strategic clinical plans
