Intern – Improve early-stage development of downstream process development through chromatography modeling

Corsier-sur-Vevey – Start between Feb 1st and April 1st 2023 for about 6 months

 

Your role:

 

As part of the Biotech Process Sciences - Technology and Innovation, you will join a team of motivated scientists dedicated to create and implement solutions to support the development and manufacturing of new biological therapeutics. The efficiency of early-stage purification process development is highly dependent on prior knowledge. The definition of relevant process parameter ranges that need to be investigate in order to optimize process is crucial to speed up development. The behavior of proteins with uncommon structures are difficult to anticipate and often results in a sub-optimal experimental design. Your mission will be to explore the potential of a model-based approach in different challenging aspects of downstream development. This also includes the realization of all laboratory experiments needed to support modeling. You will be trained to be autonomous, and you will have the opportunity to present your work during various meetings.

Your profile:

 

·  Master/engineer student in biotechnology related fields
·  Highly motivated and autonomous
·  Ability to conceptualize, solve complex challenges, and communicate about your project
·  Great team spirit
·  Previous experience in DSP is a plus
·  Good written and oral knowledge in English, French is a plus
