Your Role:
Maintain and validate Customer Master Data to comply with the needs of multiple departments, sites, and users while maintaining systems integrity. Processes include monitoring the creation, maintenance and conversion of SAP and internet-based master data. Evaluate the integrity of customer master data to ensure partners are accurately established to facilitate sales, distribution, invoicing, customer service, and receivables. Analyze customer master data, making use of independent judgment and discretion to customer data complies with established procedures and practices. In addition, support improvement activities to current processes and systems to ensure a better customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
· Support the appropriate customer master strategy and guidelines to ensure a high quality of customer records within the ERP
· Work with supporting functions to ensure Customer profiles and e-commerce connections are mapped correctly for a seamless end-to-end order process (i.e. Sigma-Aldrich website, B2B, Ariba, EDI)
· Support process improvement efforts, solve problems of moderate complexity aimed at improving efficiency, increasing accuracy and delivering a better customer experience
· Participate on projects and business initiatives for creating, changing and mapping Customer Master Data records within the ERP and across other tools (i.e. Salesforce.com)
· Participate in ERP testing and support implementation of new system solutions
· Support Customer Master data enrichment activities to support ongoing NEXT mapping and migration requirements, working with the Data Quality Customer Master Strategy team
· Evaluate customer accounts details and activity for deactivation where appropriate. Inclusive of open documents, sales orders etc.
· Execute the cleansing and consolidating customer master records based on overall global guidelines established
· A Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4PM
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School diploma
· 1+ years' working experience with SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree
· Knowledge and skills including data collection, root-cause analysis, process control, problem solving, and decision making
· Operational knowledge across key functions within Customer Excellence
· Excellent computer skills including MS Office and SAP
· Accountable for the quality of own work. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles
· Understands customer requirements and communicate effectively across diverse work groups
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· High sense of urgency and ownership required
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple critical activities
