Total Rewards Operations Center is part of our Business Solutions, being focused on partner management during the annual compensation cycle , benchmarking and other rewards related activities. We build a long-term partnership with all company departments, ensuring a consistent compensation data approach among the transactional teams. We work closely with colleagues worldwide on various subjects, starting from process improvements, enablement concept & materials, or we partner for the analysis of new global rewards directions. As a collaborative team of experts, we’re the go-to team worldwide for all processes we have ownership for in our portfolio.

This is a key role within the company globally, being responsible for driving and coordinating global compensation processes including the execution of the Annual Compensation Review cycle for all Merck employees.
You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of the cycle ensuring technical requirements are well set, and cycle fits all business requirements. Next to the cycle, you’ll be making an impact in identifying and steering the implementation of identified improvements and optimizations, while also translating new further business requirements.
After each cycle you’ll be shaping and driving several closure workshops, aligning globally on improvements and new solutions, aiming for increasing the future effectiveness and quality.
As Compensation Process Manager you’ll be responsible for both process operational quality and global customer experience . For this you’ll be working with several innovative technologies, aiming to create guidelines, support and accompany both managers and HR globally during the process. Next to these, you’ll be shaping process enablement materials and/or online sessions, globally used by various stakeholders, like business, HR business Partners or other operational teams.
Being the main partner and a key member in Compensation program steering you’ll be focused on building partnership with worldwide HR colleagues, including with our Business Centers.
Global benchmarking will complete your portfolio, the role being close to the main vendors for benchmarking, survey submissions and global matching.
And as we foster curiosity and curious minds, you will be involved in critical projects within a constantly evolving environment connected to innovative compensation directions.
Who you are:

Rewards experience 2-4 years in relevant background
·
Experience within Reward with focus on benchmarking, salary surveys, and Compensation yearly processes
·
Experience in the Yearly Compensation Review Cycle (end to end at least one cycle)
·
Process improvement focus
·
Used to act in a global matrix environment managing multiple stakeholders across functions
·
Ability to coordinate partners and assess the progress
·
Strong analytical skills
·
Strong MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
·
Good communication skills, fluent in English both writing and verbal
·
Public speaking and ability to influence others
·
Active listening & problem-solving focus
·
Nice to have experience with Compensation module and Employee Central / Shared service centers
