The Role: Would you like to work with some of the most curious minds in the scientific community? Here is your opportunity to take up an established portfolio and strong brand servicing clients in the Life Science industry. You will be making a significant contribution to innovation in the scientific domain through the execution of a sales strategy and proactive development and management of customers relationships, within an assigned territory. Your objective will be to achieve your sales targets leveraging all available channels including B2B. Living our High Impact Culture; you will be a natural collaborator, working closely with colleagues in the sales team and other functions including Customer Service, Marketing, Distribution & Supply Chain to enhance your customers' experience with Merck. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, ambitious and provides value for their customers through solution-based and consultative selling skills.
Who you are:
● Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in any of the life science disciplines
● 2+ years of sales experience or related commercial experience
● Business acumen relevant to the Life Science market
● Strategic thinker and ability to implement strategy
● Self-motivated, able to prioritise and take initiative, strong organisational and time management skills
● Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (written, verbal, professional)
● Ability to produce, interpret and analyse sales data
● Interstate travel will be approximately 20% of this role
