Position Summary
The Assistant Manager – Hostess at Market Kitchen is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable experience while managing reservations and seating flow. This role combines exceptional guest relations with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations and supporting revenue generation through strategic seating and upselling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring an exceptional first impression.
· Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow to optimize table turnover and maximize revenue.
· Maintain accurate guest records and ensure VIP preferences are honored.
· Train and supervise host team members, ensuring adherence to service standards.
· Collaborate with the outlet management team to implement guest engagement strategies.
· Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
· Support promotional activities and upselling initiatives to enhance guest experience and revenue.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the reception area.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a luxury hospitality environment, preferably in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
· Proven experience in European fine dining or luxury hospitality environments is essential; candidates with European exposure or background are strongly preferred.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; articulate and well-presented.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume guest flow.
· Knowledge of reservation systems and front-of-house operations.
· Passion for hospitality and guest engagement.
· Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
