GENERAL FUNCTION
The Specialist – The FGX Global Marketing team is responsible for leading global brands, categories and/or initiatives that deliver on overall short and long-term marketing strategies worldwide. Key initiatives are designed to support FGXI’s growth globally via our consumer centric, digital first emphasis. This position collaborates with many functions within the company, particularly Digital, Social Media and Operations, as well as with our agency partners where applicable. The Specialist will work closely with the Global Brand Managers, Legal, and the Creative Services / Graphic Design teams.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the digital and social media presence of all FGX brands while working to increase followers, engagement and conversion.
· Coordinate with the global brand managers to execute strategies tied to global brand launches and activations. Work with cross functional teams to ensure accuracy for copy and content development for brands featured on our digital platforms and social media channels.
· Assist with the development of global marketing campaigns, materials, tools and resources for global sales teams, focusing on omni-channel marketing executions (retail instore and digital).
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align consumer-facing activities with brand guidelines. Develop and execute digital-first launches, materials and assets for D2Cs (Fostergrant.com; Readers.com) and/or retailer.coms.
· Assist in preparation of materials for corporate meetings with internal and external teams to ensure projects are moving forward and new projects are evaluated and assigned properly.
· Work in tandem with the brand managers to provide global marketing campaign materials and assets needed to Trade Marketing Managers to execute on retail platforms and/or retailer.com launches.
· Work with cross-functional marketing teams in developing brand vision and positioning to achieve overall business goals for the brand.
· Collaborate with market research for the development of consumer research studies to gain consumer understanding and insights on our product categories, specific new product introductions, brand awareness and effectiveness of overall brand message and experience.
· Develop and maintain competitive analysis and profiles of key competitors by conducting periodic retail visits and website analysis.
· Coordinate with the Creative Services teams for photography requirements needed to effectively meet digital and social media goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
· 1-2+ years of consumer marketing, digital and social media management experience
· Track record of developing strategies to enhance a consumer brand’s position in the digital marketplace
· Strong analytical and metric evaluation skills; Powerpoint and MS application fluency required. Strong written skills for creative brief development
· Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual and in-person teams
· Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope
· Strong project management and excellent communication skills
