Role Mission

The Search, SEO and Affiliates Manager will support the Director, Digital Media in driving the achievement of business goals and digital business for Gucci America.  As Gucci.com continues its aggressive online growth, we are looking for an analytically driven manager who has the experience and motivation to drive the eCommerce business forward while working collaboratively across the organization.  This role will work cross functionally with Merchandising, Marketing and Communications, Digital Operations, Client Services and the Client Engagement teams. 

Key Accountabilities

·  Oversee the performance of SEO and SEM for Gucci.com in North America, performance is defined as the profitable growth of these channels and the optimization between earned and paid performance;
·  Working with our agency, manage SEM campaigns and identify opportunities to improve ROI (inclusive of testing landing pages and new formats) and communicate learnings with the other regions;
·  Optimize keywords and ad copy, liaising with social media and Marketing and Communications team for guidance on ad copy and vocabulary;
·  Oversee the relationship with the SEM Agency of Record to ensure optimal service and results;
·  Develop annual traffic plan and revenue projections based on online marketing plans for the North America business, with specific focus on SEM optimizations;
·  Prioritize SEO enhancements to the site based on level of effort and impact to revenue;
·  Manage the eCommerce marketing budget on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis and suggest budget re-allocation as needed;
·  Partner with both North America and Worldwide Marketing and Communication teams on seasonal campaigns and new product launches to achieve traffic and revenue goals, and provide regular ideas and feedback on program performance and opportunity areas;
·  Identify and recommend new eMarketing channels that are currently not implemented at Gucci, including emerging marketing tools and partners, building a business case for testing;
·  Oversee and manage the tracking of key marketing metrics in the weekly master file and other reports to share insights with the team and management;
·  Use web analytic tools to identify marketing and product opportunities and to exploit market developments;
·  Track competitors – both in the luxury space and best-in-class retailers and benchmark KPIs against industry;
·  Present learnings and best practices on a quarterly basis across the organization;
·  Channel optimization including quality traffic by channel;
·  Provide input on site usability and conversion KPIs.

Key Requirements

·  3-4 years in digital marketing experience, with deep channel experience with SEM, SEO strategy and execution;
·  Experience working within Google/Bing platforms on system operations and campaign optimizations;
·  Experience working on campaigns that leveraged affiliate and social tactics;
·  Agency management experience, or experience working in-house at an agency
·  Bachelor's degree required; MBA/advanced degree preferred;
·  Advanced use of Google Analytics 360 (use of Segments, Custom Dimensions, enhanced eComm dimensions and metrics, Custom Reports);
·  Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required;
·  Must be a hands-on team member and operate with a start-up mentality to move the business forward;
·  Ability to translate quantitative data into strategic insights for high-level consumption;
·  Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, which demands both quick thinking and strong attention to detail;
·  Ability to create cross-functional relationships and manage external agency partners and vendors.
