We are looking for a strategic leader to design and implement the regional communication strategy, Enhancing Kering’s brand image and its Houses’ identities across the MEA region. This role demands a deep knowledge of the luxury market, exceptional storytelling skills, and a forward-thinking mindset to manage external and internal communications, public relations, and brand standing initiatives effectively. The primary objective is to solidify Kering’s position as a leading global luxury group with strong relevance and impact in the MEA region. This includes establishing clear positioning and a robust reputation for Kering, particularly in the areas of sustainability, women’s empowerment, and the promotion of women in art and culture, while addressing the unique needs of emerging markets within the region. The Communication Director will collaborate closely with Kering’s Headquarters Communication & Image department to align on strategies and develop localized plans to enhance brand awareness and visibility. Key focus areas include: • Values and CSR Commitments: Amplify Kering’s sustainability initiatives and social responsibility efforts. • Identity and MEA Representation: Strengthen Kering’s presence by reflecting the diversity and cultural richness of the region. • Unified Image Strategy: Ensure cohesive messaging and representation of Kering and its Houses across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a comprehensive regional multimedia public relations strategy, content, and calendar, ensuring alignment with Kering’s global communication objectives and timelines.
· Enhance Kering’s external image through proactive storytelling that showcases the Group’s values, initiatives, and accomplishments.
· Media Relations:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional media contacts to promote and support Kering’s activities.
· Educate media about Kering’s corporate vision, values, and initiatives.
· Identify and manage press opportunities for Kering’s top management to convey key messages.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for regional print and digital media inquiries, determining escalation needs and crafting appropriate responses when required.
· Assess the need for a localized digital and social media presence to enhance Kering’s visibility and engagement in the MEA region.
· Identify and secure opportunities for Kering representation at key regional events, including speaking engagements for Kering spokespeople.
· Support the inclusion of Kering Group in local initiatives aligned with the Group’s values, focusing on:
· Global Sustainability Commitments : Highlight Kering’s leadership in sustainability.
· Localized CSR Initiatives : Develop and implement region-specific CSR programs in MEA countries.
· Provide editorial and strategic support to the Kering MEA President for presentations, public speaking engagements, and social media presence.
· Evaluate and establish strategic partnerships to enhance Kering’s reputation and reinforce its positioning in key areas such as sustainability, women’s empowerment, and art and culture.
· Collaborate with HR teams to strengthen Kering’s employer brand in the MEA region, attracting top talent and fostering pride and engagement among employees.
· Work closely with Kering Group HQ to provide support and guidance to Kering Houses’ local teams in the MEA region, ensuring alignment in corporate communications and effective handling of crisis communication when necessary.
