Job description

Job Family Group Description - Merchandising: Includes all jobs responsible for selection, availability and visibility of brands’ collections and products within a given territory or for a given sales channel. Job Family Description -Visual Merchandising: Ensures product visibility, store display, layout and signs are aligned with brand style. Supports the development of designs and creation of physical material needed for events, campaigns and/or special events, following creative guidelines and style guide.

  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

WINDOW & INSTORE DISPLAY

·  Boost and quality control of the all-store image, store openings, popups and local events
·  Produce store openings, popups, special promotions window displays through discussion with Worldwide VM team
·  Make and implement localized VM strategy based on global VM guideline to maximize sales through the Visual Merchandising
·  Act as contact for all visual merchandising enquiries and solve problems
·  Manage VM props

TEAM

·  Manage, train and develop the VM team and Store VM staff to meet the highest VM standards

COMMUNICATION

·  Collaborate with related Worldwide VM team.
·  Collaborate with related Japan divisions

(Merchandising team, Retail team, Architecture team, Client Development team, Marketing and Communication team, Logistics team)

·  Manage external vendor

(Props and lightbox image / including overseas vender)

·  Manage freelance support when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                              

·  Fluent in Japanese and Business level in English
·  Position requires minimum of 5 years of relevant progressive Visual Merchandising experience including people management
·  Experience in luxury/fashion business a plus
·  Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment
·  Detail oriented, highly organized
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Ability to travel
·  Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
