Job Description
Your opportunity:
Alexander McQueen is currently seeking a Financial Analyst who will serve as a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This role will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
How you will contribute:
· Prepare and analyze monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required by analyzing the performance vs budget, forecast and last year.
· Assist in building the annual budget and bi-annual reforecasts with focus on store, G&A and Communications expenses.
· Prepare monthly reconciliation of capital expenditures
· Manage month end closing with the accounting team to ensure all needed processes have been completed and properly reviewed before submission
· Review balance sheet reconciliations and propose needed actions to be taken
· Prepare Monthly Sales Reporting
· Participate in planning with senior leadership on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics
· Communicate and collaborate closely with local management teams
· Ad-hoc projects as needed
Your Skills & Experience:
· Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
· 3-5 years working experience
· Experience in retail accounting a plus
· SAP and Oracle (HFM & PBCS) experience a plus
· Critical thinking, problem solving, and ability to work independently
· Strong verbal and written communication skills/able to communicate effectively across all levels of organization
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Eager to learn, dedicated, diligent, highly organized, and reliable
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
· Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary and longer hours during month-end closes
· Can work autonomous and without direct supervision
· Teamwork skills a must
