About the role

We have a brand new opportunity for a Tenancy Progressor to join our growing Build to Rent team, here at the John Lewis Partnership.

In this role, you will manage tenancy administration, renewals, and rent reviews from start to finish for circa 800 units. You will ensure compliance, streamline processes, and provide detailed reports on progress, collaborating with onsite management teams to maintain high occupancy levels.

This role demands excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail to elevate resident experiences. Effective communication, proactive professionalism, and quick relationship-building are key.

Expected salary - £29,500 - £35,000 (dependent on experience).

· 
Contract type - This position is a permanent contract.

· 
Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Build to Rent team aims for one day a week in the office on a Thursday to connect, and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.

Location - This role is based at our Pimlico Head Office, with occasional travel to our Build to Rent sites. 

Key responsibilities

· 
Managing all tenancy administration in an accurate and timely manner ensuring efficiency and compliance consistently across the operation, making adjustments and recommendations to process improvement. This will include both new tenancy agreements and the relevant references in preparation for move in/move out day and existing residents updates to their agreements.

· 
Processing all tenancy renewals including offers, negotiations and finalisation of documentation.

· 
Dealing with financial elements such rent reviews updating records and reports as appropriate. 

· 
Updating all relevant systems including the BTR operating platforms, maintaining records in CRM and Management system to ensure all elements of the process are updated, ensuring accuracy of all systems is maintained.

· 
Building and managing multiple relationships with internal stakeholders such as the BTR Operations team, onsite management for tenancy handovers and third party suppliers to ensure a smooth continuous running of the operation. 

· 
Sharing knowledge and expertise in the BTR sector to other Partners in the team in readiness for scaling up our BTR portfolio.

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

· 
Sufficient experience in a residential related asset or property management position – PRS, BTR, PBSA etc 

· 
Proven experience in liaising and negotiating with customers/residents

· 
Highly organised, has the ability to plan and prioritise workload

· 
Able to work to tight deadlines

· 
Strong written and verbal English communication skills

· 
Excellent interpersonal skills

· 
Experience of working in a multi-site business

 

Desirable skills/experience you may have

· 
ARLA/Propertymark qualified, if not already qualified, commitment to becoming qualified within 6 months

· 
Knowledge of the leasing process
