zVM / zVSE / zLinux system programmer - expert

Job description

We are searching for a technical leader who will cooperate on the building of the brand new team. As a future technical leader you should have following experience:

System Operations
- IPL z/VM (no migration to standard operations allowed)
- Monitor z/VM (no standard monitoring allowed)
- Start/Stop/Repair Linux systems (z/VM guests)

z/VM System Programming
- Software maintenance
- Hardware migration
- SSI cluster configuration and maintenance
- CSE cluster configuration and maintenance
- CP configuration for guest isolation
- z/VM performance management
- z/VM subsystem configuration and maintenance (RACF/VM, DIRMAINT, SFS, Performance Toolkit, IPGATE)
- ISV software installation and maintenance including defect support
- UserID management
- Administration of tracking databases (e.g. CIRATS, MAD, AIS)

Automated Operations
- Migration of AO solutions
- Administration of Automation Tools (WWAO, LNXADMIN etc)
- Support for CIC's

Connectivity / Network Support
- z/VM internal virtual networking (virtual switches etc)
- RSCS Monitoring
- RSCS Administration
- VTAM / SNA configuration
- TCP/IP configuration and maintenance
- SSL lifecycle management (configuration, maintenance, key management)
- Support of ISV software (e.g. CA FAQS and Macro4 Tubes, MLOG)

Software Maintenance
- Upgrade software products
- Customization of software products

z/VM Storage Management
- Space Increases (z/VM User and Linux guests)
- Storage subsystem hardware migration
- Backup software configuration, maintenance and migration
- Development of backup solutions (incl. monitoring etc)
- Development of disaster recovery solutions (incl. DR testing)
- Support of ISV software (e.g. CA DYNAM/T VM, DYNVM and Pfeilshifter BVS incl. LibrCMS)

Security
- Support for user adminstration / RACF teams
- Consulting for security related projects
- design guest isolation (CP and RACF)
