We are looking for an Intern to work for our North America Watson IoT Center of Competence (CoC). Watson IoT CoC's work on innovative solutions with and for our customers, then in turn work closely with our development and offering management teams.

We are looking for people with a technical, software development background who will be passionate about cognitive software development in this technology-driven era. You will have drive, client focus and big thinking, along with the ability to develop relationships, excel in teams and operate with speed. We are particularly interested in hiring Developers to:
Work on customers' innovative solutions
Work closely with design in developing and realizing a vision for cognitive applications
Work with technologies such as angular, node.js, building web-based user interfaces
Build prototypes and demos to test (internally and through user research) and refine solutions while working with the design team
Very strongly interested in new technologies, sensors, smart devices, cognitive solutions and to have fun to work creatively in a challenging environment

We are particularly interested in hiring Developers to:
· Build elegant software solutions, customer centric products and utilize agile development processes
· Architect and develop new cognitive services delivered with a cloud-first methodology
· Architect and develop new cloud platform components that can be used by other cognitive services in their delivery.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Bachelors Degree

At least 1 year experience in in Java, Python, Ruby, or Perl

Knowledge of networks, Protocols like MQTT, SQL and non SQL databases, embedded Linux, mobile application development, Python, RESTful webservices
