Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Research Assistant provides basic analytic, research, project management, financial management and client support as part of a team that delivers health care information and consulting services to government or commercial clients.
POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES : •Perform reviews of medical and health research literature and summarize relevant information as directed by Research Leader or Research Analyst
• Draft background sections of project proposals and client reports as directed by Research Leader
• Create portions of and format deliverables for client presentation (reports, technical memoranda, posters, presentations, and manuscripts)
• Perform basic data quality reviews
• Other project-specific activities as directed by Research Leader/Project Manager
• Track project work progress and expenditures of specific pieces of work on behalf of the project manager, so that the project manager can report results to the client
• Utilize interpersonal skills to interface with external project (non-client) stakeholders to ensure that the project maintains high-quality relationships with these stakeholders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate in Arts degree with 3 to 5 years experience or Bachelor's degree in health or research-related field with 1 year work experience desirable
• Experience performing review of relevant literature, using the internet or other sources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Time management skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while completing work within allocated time frames.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
