The mission of IBM Watson Health Mission is to improve lives and give hope by delivering innovation to address the world's most pressing health challenges through data and cognitive insights. This role is responsible for leading an Inside Sales team, generating net new business opportunities.
The Watson Health Inside Sales Manager is responsible for managing an Inside Sales team and initiatives to drive top of funnel opportunities for the direct sales organization, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to build out the sales development strategy to meet sales targets. As an Inside Sales Manager, you will act as a “player-coach” to a team of Business Development Reps (BDRs), working to execute and refine outbound business development sales plays to drive net new business.
This position is located at the Watson Health global headquarters in Cambridge, MA and provides a truly unique opportunity to join a recently formed business operating like a start-up within an iconic Fortune 500 company.
Measures of Success:
· Meet and/or Exceed a targeted team pipeline objective of opportunities created, qualified and progressed by the BDR.
Responsibilities Include:
· As a "player-coach", you will work closely with the team to define and track performance metrics
· Design and document best practices and procedures to optimize the effectiveness of the team and suggest improvements as needed
· Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
· Build an open communication environment and motivate the team through dedicated coaching
· Work closely with marketing and other departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales
· Work closely and collaboratively with Watson Health Sales Leaders to ensure opportunities are well developed for a successful hand-off for progression to closure
· Achieve or exceed monthly individual and team goals
