Job description

Watson Cognitive Engineer, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY: Drive performance profiling, analysis, and advancement of existing and future products and services. Plan and estimate efforts for end-to-end performance testing and analysis of complex hardware/software systems. Access, install, and configure performance test environments. Test and analyze performance of products. Design performance test scenarios and use cases. Monitor and analyze changes in end-to-end performance and document findings. Test and analyze performance of individual components to derive improvements. Correlate system hardware metrics with software performance to propose hardware/software architecture improvements. Utilize Java, scripting, build system, and file system. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Java, scripting, build system, and file system. Full time. V427.
