Job description
As WAS (WebSphere) admin you will be involved in managing activities such as WebSphere Application Support , Maintenance and Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Problem Determination, Performance Tuning and compliance
Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, and administer servers, including multiple server instances, standalone, clusters, connection pools, plug-ins, and JDBC drivers
· Working on automation of processes and admin activities.
· Conceptualize and verbalize the benefits of technology in solving real business problems.
· Mentor developers to help them solve problems and grow, especially as it relates to the database.
· Create, communicate, and maintain best practices.
· Work with multiple technologies and in projects with high complexity.
· Security and compliance to provide secure environment to our customers.
· Work to consistently improve internal processes Storage and Capacity Planning, Backup and Recovery
· Configure Global Security, SSL and LDAP.
· Keystore management – CSR, importing, receiving etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 5+ years working knowledge with the following WebSphere skills is required for the role,
WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND) v6.1.x, v7.x., V 8.5.5.x ,V 9.x
· Knowledge of WebSphere Service Registry and Repository.
· IBM HTTP Server (IHS) v6.1.x, v 7.x, V8.5.5.x , V 9.x
· AIX/Unix command line, HACMP knowledge
· Experience in integrating WebSphere Application Server and Deployment manager with IBM Http server, IBM Directory Server, DB2 and SQL servers
· Experience in applying Refresh packs, Fix packs, Cumulative Fix packs for all versions of WebSphere application server and different flavors of Web Servers
· WebSphere Migration Tools WebSphere Performance Tuning
