Job description
The IBM Systems Group has openings for highly motivated, entry-level VLSI Design Engineer Intern to develop our hardware and semiconductor products. We are part of a world-class microprocessor development team that pioneers industry-leading hardware for IBM Systems including OpenPOWER and Power Systems Servers, System Z servers and Storage.
This technology is the foundation for innovations in support of Cognitive Computing including: Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Social and Security. VLSI Design Engineers participate in various aspects of the VLSI development and verification process, such as: architecture, logic design, circuit design, pre-silicon verification, synthesis, physical design and layout, power optimization, signal integrity/packaging, design for test and post-silicon validation. Individuals who are chosen to become a part of our world-class development teams will be helping advance IBM's leadership in developing the highest performing computers in the market. This person must have good communication skills and team oriented as the person will work primarily with Systems hardware development teams across the VLSI Processor Design Organization.
