Job description
The Columbia MO Client Innovation Center is seeking to hire a Level 3 UNIX Technical Support Admins with expertise in Linux. This role is responsible for implementing changes to the client's environment. Required Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems. Support problem and change tickets for client servers. This involves problem determination and implementation of changes to hardware and/or software. This position requires a senior, highly experienced level of support (Level 3). Interaction with other teams is often required to solve issues.
- Work to standardize repeatable tasks and steps across multiple accounts within a team while providing coaching and mentoring to the intermediate (Level 2) and junior team (Level 1) members. This may require creating documentation or scripts that can be used to solve the same problems in the future.
- Facilitate or engage in problem solving to create a continuous improvement culture.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a demanding environment.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, motivation to advance in the profession.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
'- At least 6 years' experience administering, maintaining the Redhat Linux operating system and its associated software. Ability to support other Linux distribution is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of HW/SW RAID, Linux LVM and file systems.
- Strong understanding of networking and TCP/IP configuration at the OS level
- Familiar with SAN storage and multipathing, familiar with Linux OS tuning and handling of common configuration files.
- Extensive problem determination skill with knowledge on searching vendor knowledge bases, open vendor support request, generate diagnostic reports and upload to vendor
- Ability to write scripts in one or more of the scripting languages such as bash, Perl or Python
- Excellent understanding of authentication and authorization technologies such as PAM, LDAP and Kerberos.
- Good familiarity with Linux virtualization and HA concepts.
- Basic knowledge in Agile methodologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
