Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM Treasury Analyst in Debt Capital Markets & Investments, you will have the opportunity to:
- Fund IBM growth: Contribute to the issuance of bonds and other debt
- Invest IBM cash: Protect and grow the excess cash balance through smart investment
- Manage risk: Hedge potential exposures (eg. floating asset rate risk) and manage/enforce treasury policies to minimize risks to IBM
- Lead and grow: From managing bank relationships to advising senior leadership on market activity, you’ll play a critical role in IBM’s future growth through the smart use of funding, investments, and risk management

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Chief Deposit Officer - manage investment strategy, bank relationships, and execution
Inter-company Loans - manage inter-company loans & cash activity
Deliver Debt Capital Markets analysis and advisement to senior stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Aid in the execution of IBM debt issuance
Effectively manage banking relationships to align external resources to aid IBM in delivering on its goals
Analyze and execute hedging strategies to minimize IBM risk
Deliver on opportunities to streamline processes and automate ongoing reporting
Build self-service analytics to more efficiently deliver advisement to senior stakeholders
Manage IBM treasury policies on behalf of DCM & Investments
Book trading activity and create hedge documentation
Analyze cash forecast and make investment recommendations
Think outside of the box and explore various financial options & instruments to continuously optimize the IBM equation
Engage in strategic Treasury discussions and projects, and perform various ad-hoc analyses
Passionate interest about working in financial markets
Ambitious, self-motivated individual, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to work in a team of high potential Treasury professionals and cross-functional teams

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
Familiarity with Debt Capital Markets & Investments
CFA Charterholder
MBA
Excel modeling skills
