Transactions Attorney

Job description

We are looking for a lawyer with 2-5 years PQE to join us.The successful candidate will provide legal assistance by working with our ASEAN legal team to support our business teams by drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, provide legal assistance on RFPs, review confidentiality and sponsorship agreements, provide legal review and support on internal compliance, provide corporate and commercial and provide other legal support.

The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur and will support matters related to Malaysia and other ASEAN countries.

Requirements:
·  Degree in Law from a recognised institution with a strong academic background
·  2 - 5 years PQE. Lawyer with strong commercial and corporate experience gained from a reputable private practice or in-house environment, preferably with a focus on technology
·  Strong drafting and negotiation skills
·  Strong client relationship building skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication
·  Should be a Malaysia citizen or should possess necessary work permit to work in Malaysia
·  Legally qualified in Singapore/ UK/ US/ ANZ/ Malaysia
·  Strong legal analytical skills and sound people and organizational skills are required
·  Absolute commitment to business integrity and ethical conduct
·  Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
·  Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
·  Can process and communicate legal concepts and a complex business environment in simple, commercial and practical terms
·  Is adaptable and agile being able to multi-task and prioritise competing requirements
·  Is strong on technical concepts, is solution and outcome focused, commercially astute and thrive in building relationships with internal and external clients.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :

·  3 - 5 years PQE. Experience as in-house counsel/legal practice experience in any of the following industries: Technology/ Energy/ Industrial/ Utilities/ Telco
·  Legally qualified in Singapore/ UK/ US/ ANZ/ Malaysia
·  Strong legal analytical skills and sound people and organizational skills are required
