Job description

Introduction
We’re looking for an experienced, motivated hands-on devops/toolchain lead who brings ideas about large-scale design, security, Cloud and Automated continuous delivery through a delivery pipeline. As a software engineer, you’ll apply your deep expertise in designing, developing and delivering an Integrated Pipeline required to deliver our world class UEM solution. You need to be versatile, display leadership qualities and open minded to take on new problems that our customers face.

Your Role and Responsibilities

·  Lead the Analysis and design of pipeline modules, features or components required for an optimum CICD solution
·  Develops, tests, documents and maintains complex software delivery pipelines for assigned systems, applications and/or products
·  Troubleshoots and resolves or recommends solutions to complex software delivery problems.
·  Provides senior level support and mentoring by evaluating pipeline enhancements for feasibility studies and providing completion time estimates.
·  Assists management with the planning, scheduling, and assigning of projects to software development personnel.
·  Ensures CICD solution quality by participating in design reviews, code reviews, and other mechanisms.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery
·  Ability to design and implement automated pipelines that are secure, testable, re-usable and easy to maintain
·  Background in automation using Jenkins (configuration, job management, writing shared libraries, hooks etc.)
·  Ability to author and maintain tasks in Gradle, NPM and Docker.
·  Source code management (preferably GIT)
·  Working knowledge of Kubernetes
·  Experience with deploying application in at least one major public cloud provider (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure - preferably AWS) or large scale private/hybrid cloud using container orchestration such as OpenShift.
·  Good problem-solving skills and proficiency in Java or Groovy
·  Strong scripting skills in at least one language (BASH, Python, Ruby, Go)
·  Ability to manage multiple projects, while ensuring that commitments and timelines are met

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Using and configuring Artifactory.
·  Familiarity with a configuration management framework (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
·  Pipeline based change management experience for third party repositories like Apache, Solr, Kafka, Active MQ, Elastic search, Cassandra, RDBMS
