Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an inspirational and entrepreneurial leader for our rapidly growing IBM TLS team in our Costa Rica CIC (Client Innovation Center).
This is a new team with a diverse range of technical support and client care missions supporting our IBM clients worldwide with North America being the current primary client base supported hence fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
The successful candidate will have extensive leadership experience working as part of a global organization and will have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key aspects of this role:
- Build a strong community and culture based on skills, collaboration and excellence in execution
- Work with local and global teams to ensure that the team meets financial and business objectives and ensure consistency in hiring, rewards and business practices across missions.
- Work with local and global teams to plan and execute on recruitment, space planning and IT enablement for CIC missions
- Build your personal brand and that of the TLS CIC in Costa Rica by advocating and evangelizing for the CIC within IBM and also within the extended technical community in Costa Rica to attract new missions and top talent for the IBM TLS CIC
- Support achievement of operational metrics working with local managers and global leaders
- Support the skills growth of the team including technical training and leadership training and coaching. Identify any specific areas of investment needed to ensure success and develop and drive business cases for these
- Provide coaching and guidance to local management team and support resolution of HR challenges working with local IBM HR team.
- Build strong linkages with other IBM (CICs) and share best practices
- Build a successful leadership development pipeline programs
- Develop a high performance culture which bridges between Costa Rica and other peer locations worldwide
- Build local college outreach and recruitment programs
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Extensive previous management experience including managing transformational projects and upline experience.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Background in a technical discipline such as it professional is an advantage.
