Job description
This Internship will provide you with opportunities to expand your experience, with focus on Linux on z. The applicant may also be asked to deliver presentations to the team on experiences uncovered during a project (lessons learned, etc.).
You will, at times, be the technical resource assigned to assist CPO Research team members for completing competitive studies evaluating new and exciting IBM technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· z/VM installation, configuration, and administration (DIRMAINT. RACF, SSI, KVM for IBM Z Systems)
· Solid skills in z/Linux system installation, cloning, and configuration including memory and file system allocation;
· Experience with providing performance and tuning using monitoring tools (ex. z/VM Performance Monitor/PerfKit.
· Ability to support network configuration and maintenance (Real TCP/IP stack, VSWITCH, TCPIP tools in z/VM, etc.)
· Ability to assess system resource requirements and project system impacts.
· Be able to work on-site at IBM Poughkeepsie, New York
