Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is working at the forefront of one of IBM's major growth initiatives – IBM Data & AI.
Based in IBM Poland Krakow Software Lab, the Support team provides technical support to our many customers in EMEA. We provide an excellent environment for learning new skills while helping our customers achieve success through our products.
· Maintaining self control while defusing stressful customer situations
· Contributing technical content to the Customer Support Knowledge Base
· Working with experienced analysts, consultants and product development to resolve difficult technical issues.
· Seting-up test cases and reproduce complex customer environments.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Need strong analytical and problem solving skills to work through some challenging situations to come through a solution
· Be technically astute and have the ability to quickly pick up new technical skills and concepts. Product training will be provided in the relevant software
· Knowledge of OS systems (Linux, MS Windows desktop and server environments)
· It is equally important to us that you are customer focused, team oriented and can demonstrate a high level of communication skills (verbal and written)
· Good verbal and written English
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
· Knowledge of DB’s/concepts (MySQL, MongoDB, ORACLE, NFS, ..)
· Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker Container
· Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark
· Knowledge and experience with HTTP and/or FTP servers, standard Windows desktop applications such as Excel or Access
· Knowledge of networks/security (Clusters, nodes, Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory, SSL, SSO,..)
· An understanding of Business Analytics Software (SPSS, COGNOS,...)
· Knowledge of German/ French/ Spanish or any additional languages is a plus
