IBM's Tech Re-Entry program is looking for talented technical professionals who are looking to restart their careers after an absence from the workforce of two years or more. This paid 12 week returnship will enable you to work on projects that match your expertise, interests, and abilities and could lead to full-time employment. During your IBM Tech Re-Entry returnship program, you will have the opportunity to update your skills in a contemporary work environment. The z/OS Communications Server team provides a high-performance foundation for building and deploying networking applications for worldwide clients. Communications Server is a part of IBM z/OS, which is a highly secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise operating system for the IBM Z mainframe. This dynamic team designs, develops, tests, and supports enterprise networking solutions.

We are looking for highly driven candidates to join the z/OS Communications Server team located in beautiful Research Triangle Park, NC. Opportunities for Software engineers exist across the development life-cycle and include design, coding, function test, system test, and customer support. Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment requiring demonstrated teaming skills with peers across the different stages of the development life-cycle.

Candidates should possess the following skills:
• Highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Skillful at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
• Have a basic understanding of software development.
• Have a basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Javascript, C, C++, or Assembler.

In order to qualify for this returnship, you must have been out of the full-time workforce for a minimum of 2 years.Upon acceptance of the offer you are required to attend 3 days orientation in HQ Armonk, NY
