Systems Programmer: Mainframe and Storage
Mainframe z/OS System Programmer works to maintain, monitor, test, install, document, and customize the mainframe operating
system and installed software and hardware.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to clients and other internal service lines and competencies
• Provide 24x7 after hours oncall support as required for products supported by the team
• Ensure team compliance and ownership on security, audit and systems integrity
• Highlight areas for improvement in current processes and carry out implementation
• Be a focal point in a technical and client advocate and provide professional advice
• Address service requests from application groups and provide technical assistance
• Perform system performance and capacity analysis, reporting, & monitoring
• Perform other duties as maybe assigned by the supervisors

Required Skills
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills (English, Cantonese, Mandarin)
• Ability to take lead in problem solving and coordination of multi-disciplinary groups
• Able to work independently & perform related project planning & coordination works
• Candidate should be self organized, eager to learn with strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills
• Deadline oriented and multi-tasking

Technical Skills
• Fully understand z/OS internals, JES2, VSAM, catalog management
• Able to lead and perform z/OS operating system upgrade and migration
• PARMLIB, JES, WLM, LE, Cobol compiler configuration, customization, & migration
• Familiar with SMP/E, RACF, RMF, SMF, SDSF, Omegamon, zOSMF, TWS
• z/OS hardware planning, IODF, LPAR, HMC configuration & management
• Experience on working with TS7720 and DS8870 storage support, Grid and PPRC, SMS, RMM customizaiton
• Experience on mainframe automation tools e.g. Netview, SA, CA-OPs etc.
• Perform disaster recovery drill
• Parallel sysplex/GDPS experience an added value
• Knowledge of clist, rexx, Cobol and Assembler programming an advantage
