Tasks for admin system test

Mainframe: Code promotion for system test /code propagation for production
Based on request from dev team (request in test request DB to deploy to test) promote changes based on requirements and error fixing from dev environment to system test environment via SCLM: SCLM promote from INTERIM to SYST / INTERZE3 to SYSTZE3 / INTERVG to SYSTVG
Adapt/update (by copy to XPLE.ST.* ) the SCLM contained production versions of a) jobs b) procedures c) job control cards via macro !PCHG! or manual incl creation of needed GDG bases in SYST
After succesfull completion of system test (approval from user) and on request of development team (via PROD deployment request in SR-DB: ) promotion in SCLM of application components to PAMIR-level, then start of code propagation process (R3S request, if needed create TWS request (for requirement: ST team/ for error fixing: developer)); after successfull implementation SCLM-promote application components within SCLM to PROD level
ACB generation for system test (ISPF - ACBG)

LotusNotes: Code promotion for system test /code propagation for production
Based on request from dev team (request in SR-DB to deploy to test) create installation request for user test environment for LotusNotes DB according to installation process to be found via link in SR-DB request (eg ENACT or Mainz' request DB); track and update installation status in SR-DB test deployment request
After succesfull completion of system test (approval from user) and on request of development team (via PROD deployment request in SR-DB: ), create installation request for production environment according to installation proces as of link in SR-DB request (eg ENACT or Mainz' request DB); track and update installation status in SR-DB prod deployment request

System test support for users/testers (english / german)
Start batch jobs and/or OPC Applications on user request (incl. jobs/network flow); requests are adressed via email to Germany HR Payroll Systemtest/Germany/IBM or in emergency case per sametime
Users have to provide input data for their test cases upfront (system test for IMS online, CICS dialogues, ISPF dialogues are done by the user himself)
On request load tables into system test (IMS/CTMS or DB2)
Stop & start data bases and regions (IMS/DB; IMS/DC), Newcopy new program versions in CICS
Start of jobs in system test
Run-Date management for system test in IMS (T015) and DB2 (SJX009T)
Support system test users / testers in case of problems/errors
Yearly back-up of asset libraries (SCLM)
DB2 activties in DSNA, DSNS, DSNP are done by the DB2 admin (currently Wolfgang Frank)
Create and maintain OPC Applications for system test(OPCHRB) ; monitor scheduled OPC applications; in case of problems (if no okay message has been received) analyse and correct them; in case of problems with user-provided input or interfaces direct the problem to Germany HRAccess CSG/Germany/IBM
DDU in DSNS(DB2) / IMSB(IMS/DB)

EGL Administration
Maintain EGL libraries in RTC; connection to SCLM for Cobol compile

VM Administration
On request from developer or user or MN chance:
VM server start/stop in system test and production VM
(Generate VAGen for ECAS ZE, complie and link in VM)
Copy of PL/1 VM PGMs with transmit from MVS to VM, complie and link
Promote into production VM after user test and approval (VM /ZE online system test is done by user himself)

Perform sunset activities based on request from development team ( LN 123 sheet)

SCLM Administration (changes in SCLM environment for SPLE.* for SPLE.PROJDEFS.SOURCE)
Needed in case of platform changes ( eg new CICS version, new compiler, new DB2 version...)
Maintain the affected/underlying libraries
