The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist will be responsible to provide optimization and analytical support for supply chain technical assistance programs with PSM-supported countries in the areas of supply chain network design, inventory management, routing optimization, etc. The candidate should possess prior supply chain optimization experience and capability to perform modeling and data analysis leveraging commercial and open source tools. The candidate should also have experience working in the international develop community and have an understanding of the supply chain challenges facing under developed countries specifically in the African region.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  3 years Supply Chain Management experience
·  2 years hands on experience with supply chain optimization software packages
·  1 years experience working in the international development environment
·  3 years of experience conducting supply chain assessments identifying key strategies for improvement initiatives
