Job description
IBM was asked if we would participate in an initiative to place a student secondary school science teacher for about 12 weeks, to support and develop STEM within schools and particularly girls. The initiative is based on the fact that the average teacher influences ~40,000 students throughout their career. This summer student will be embeded with a team for the full period so that they get a real understanding of how that team works. This role will provide the candidate with access to other social aspects of working in a company to dispel myths - such as that STEM careers are not for women / mums, there is no social life, no work-life balance. This role will include exposure to project management, communication, presentation, client conversations, active listening, analysis.
This Summer Student to support increased business activities in our major accounts in GBS. The role will conclude at the end of August 2018.
