Introduction
IBM Enterprise Strategy focuses on solving the clients’ most critical strategic challenges. We advise clients on envisioning their “north star” visions and shape the high-impact business transformation agendas through a differentiated strategy, combining human-centered design with emerging technologies.
We act as the “tip of the spear” for IBM’s engagement with the CEO & C-suite by bringing together IBM’s capabilities across strategy, design, data, cognitive computing, and technology. Working in Enterprise Strategy provides the opportunity to orchestrate such major change initiatives with senior partners who have decades of experience advising senior executives across industries.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant on the IBM Enterprise Strategy team, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. You'll manage complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points.
Specifically, a Senior Consultant plays a senior team member role, proactively managing a module within a project with direction from the Project Manager. You leverage experience and analytical capabilities to fully complete the given work by managing junior consultants and preliminary team responsibilities.

· Ability to research and apply analytical skills to develop concrete insights and recommendations
· Passion to understand applications of emerging tech and how it impacts real business problems
Communication/Managerial skills:
· Powerful communication and storytelling skills, successfully applying verbal and written communications to expose and defend points of view to business leaders and team members
· Focus on ensuring the success of your team and client, with an ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, create structure and coordination in a fast-paced environment
· Play a senior team member at times independently leading simple cases and at times driving analysis on complicated cases with guide from PM, whilst providing guide to junior consultants
· Interpersonal skills to thrive in intense work environment and build relationships with clients
· Self-driven with exceptional commitment and high-level of flexibility to changing environments
Required Technical & Professional Expertise
· 2+ years of professional experience in consulting, start-up or other business environments
· Base level functional expertise in business strategy/development, marketing/sales/service optimization, ventures & partnership development, organization design, operating model design
· Advanced quantitative analysis skills and strong PowerPoint/storytelling skills
· Proficient in English is essential

· Industry experience in Life Sciences, Financial Services, Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Telecommunication, Travel & Transportation, Energy, Environment, Utilities, Automotive, Chemicals & Petroleum, or Electronics
· Experienced with one or more of the following:
· Leverage design thinking and creative approach to solve problems and develop strategy
· Work with large and complex data sets to develop actionable insights
· Build business cases and financial models
· Leadership qualities with ability to mentor and outstanding interpersonal skills
