Internship Kista, SWEDEN Infra / Networks / Telecom
Job description
Are you looking to work on some of the most critical IT infrastructures and to develop your skills in a global company?
In this role, together with the team you are responsible for some of the most critical IT infrastructures in the Nordic society. The team works with Mainframe providing technical core services to many financial institutions, industries and service companies. Mainframe has been and continues to be the spine of the IT infrastructure, affecting millions of people's everyday life - and offering some great career opportunities for IT professionals.
As Storage Administrator in this team you are responsible for planning, reviewing and implementing changes related to the system storage, including disk, tape, backup and catalogue. Your main responsibility is to keep the engine running in a structured and process oriented way by making sure your installations' services are available and operating to meet the Service Level Agreements. You may also participate in different projects which can be about implementing a new hardware, developing a new solution or planning installation of software.
The team is located in several places in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. We work together cross the different locations and with the IBM teams from all over the world. The majority of the work is done in cooperation with the client and your co-workers, both through projects and daily tasks. We have a high degree of flexibility in working place and working hours, and from time to time some evening and weekend work is also included in this role.
We are looking for someone who likes to solve problems, thrives under time-pressure and enjoys working with close and remote teams as well as independently. More than experience, we appreciate the interest to learn about the mainframe and the associated systems and products. IBM is well known for its learning opportunities and having Windows or Linux experience will give you an excellent base for upskilling yourself in this role.
