Job description

This specialty concentrates on the assessment and design of infrastructures using Backup as a Service solutions to support the applications, data, and business processes resiliency objectives. Included in the focus areas are the critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the infrastructure to meet client availability, recovery, continuity and resilient business objectives. Best practices in this specialty use various techniques including architectural patterns, modeling, simulation, and testing to validate the designs and selected products. L3 candidate are responsible for performance, availability and maintenance of the TSM server.

Accountable for department results and for activities and/or projects involving multi-functional teams. Regularly participates in overall functional program planning. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact project costs or expenses.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Experience in TSM administration on Linux and Windows environments
·  Demonstrated knowledge of effective backup procedures for systems and data
·  Good knowledge with Linux and Windows server operating systems
·  Good knowledge of VMware and other Hypervisor hosts and cluster architecture in order to verify backups and storage migrations plans.
·  Good knowledge on Agent based backups of database.
·  Familiarity with SAN and NAS
